I live in the beautiful Sonoran desert of Arizona. My town of Scottsdale is extremely art oriented. There are hundreds of galleries about a mile away from my house. It's beautiful here year round. Right now I'm finding inspiration in the blooming flowers of fall.

I'm very excited that one of my photos of Camelback mountain, taken from my backyard, was chosen to be included in the Arizona Highways online photo project. It can be viewed here http://arizonahighways.com/extras/centennial_project.asp#!/entry/248569 I photograph this view regularly.
It was a cold, cloudy, spotty rainy day today. Not our typical blues skies and sunshine and 70's temps. But, Arizona did not disappoint in it's 100th birthday sunset. I'm proud to be a native of Arizona. My families moved here in the early 40's when air conditioning was spotty. I love my beautiful state and enjoy it's beauty every day. Sometimes just outside my windows I get the best sunsets ever.
Fry bread night is always a blast. There may be a bit of arguing over who had how many and who gets the last one. But, I can tell you there is never a scrap left!
